Andrea Sangiorgio is Professor of Elemental Music Education at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Munich, Germany. His PhD at Exeter University in the UK focused on children’s creative interactions in group work (2016). He graduated from the Orff Institute, Mozarteum University Salzburg in 1997, and has given many workshops in the UK. He was the lead tutor at the Summer School in 2015 (York). Focus areas as music teacher educator are elemental music and movement education, group improvisation and musical creativity, and cognitive aspects of music learning.
