Nancy Evans

Nancy is Director of Learning & Participation for Birmingham Contemporary Music Group where she has worked since 2000. She studied classical trumpet at the RNCM and has an MA in Community Music from the University of York. From 1995 to 98 she worked in Ramallah, Palestine as a music and brass teacher at Ramallah Friends School and at the Edward Saïd National Conservatory of Music.

She has conceived and led training programmes for musicians and early years practitioners for a range of organisations including London Symphony Orchestra, Wigmore Hall, Royal Scottish National Orchestra and Royal Liverpool Philharmonic.

She is co-author of ‘Listen Imagine Compose Primary – A Planning, Reflection and Progression Toolkit’.
