Chris is a music teacher and percussionist. He studied at Huddersfield University, gaining a Masters degree in Music Performance before joining Wigan Music Service in 1995. He has a deep interest in music of different traditions and has developed this through whole class teaching in primary schools – mainly Samba, West African and tuned percussion. He has also led his own community Samba group, delivered team building workshops and, as a performer, recorded with the Royal Ballet Sinfonia.
