David Wheway

David Wheway has worked as a class teacher in primary schools leading on a range of curriculum areas as well as music. As a music leader, he developed inclusive ideas for supporting colleagues to teach music to their classes, which led to him joining the music advisory team for Leicestershire in 1989 (alongside Sarah Hennessy).

David continued to develop ideas and materials to support the generalist teacher of music, which led to invitations both nationally and internationally, including at the Orff Institute, Salzburg. Since 2008 he has worked at Canterbury Christ Church University as a senior lecturer in education.
