Inspire – Engage – Create! is a practical one-day workshop with Orff practitioner Nadja Kraft, exploring creative approaches to composing and improvising with children aged 5–11. Designed for both classroom teachers and music specialists, this inspiring day will build your confidence in teaching composition through playful, child-centred musical experiences. Discover practical strategies that encourage creativity, independence and musical thinking, leaving with activities you can use immediately in your own setting. The workshop takes place at the CBSO Centre, Birmingham, and is suitable for educators working in schools, music services and community settings
Nadja was born in Austria and did a Bachelor’s and master’s degree in Elemental Music and Dance Pedagogy at the Orff Institute in Salzburg.She went on to study Early Childhood Music Education at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki before coming to the UK in 2009.Having led several workshops and music and movement classes in nursery settings and at Colourstrings Conservatoire, she is now teaching curriculum music, piano and has several children’s choirs across 3 schools including a SEN setting.She holds the role as Lead teacher for the Music’s Cool programme at Harrow Music Service, which is part of the London West Music Hub.
